About Me

I believe that a mother’s birth story is held deeply within her soul for the rest of her life and we must treat it as such.

“How will she remember this?”

Hello, my name is Cindy (my family calls me Cin Cin)! I was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. I am of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent. My background is in nursing, more specifically I was a Registered Nurse working in the adult intensive care unit for 7 years.

My journey to conception was not an easy one, I experienced 2 heartbreaking miscarriages before having my son. During that journey I became immersed in the birth world. Coming from a medical background, I never considered birthing outside of the hospital, but the more I looked into all things birth I realized I had so many more options. I hired a doula and switched to a home birth well into my second trimester (much to my husband’s surprise). After my own birth experience, I realized how important it is to have a team around you during this pivotal time in your life. I decided to turn my passion for birth and serving others into a career as a birth doula.

As a doula I believe that all people should be treated as autonomous individuals, who are given all of their options and made to feel like they have the ultimate say in the decisions made over their experiences. Birth is an experience that will deeply penetrate a mother’s soul for the rest of her life. It is important to do all we can to ensure that a mother is listened to, cared for and respected. It would be my absolute honor to help you navigate this journey and help you experience the satisfying birth you deserve.
También hablo español y fuera mi honor a ayudarle durante este tiempo tan lindo.
